Had an colostomy in 2000 then a hernia operation in 2002. Was tod that hernia was done from outside. Have a large bulge where stoma is. Lately having stomach cramps and pain that has moved to the left lower back. Have got to go in for a Barium thing on Tues then back to the ostomy Doctor who said that the stoma may have to be moved. My other doctor said that according to the CT Scan that i took that it appeared to be fat tissues around the stoma. I'm sure confused. Anyone ever had this problem???

Hi Sonny, I've heard of hernias around the stoma, but not of fat tissue. (However, that doesn't mean it doesn't exist!)
The barium should hopefully show what's wrong. If you are in pain, that resiting the stoma may well be beneficial for you.
Let us know how you go on after the tests.
